Day Fifteen: Flooring Extravaganza!

Christopher's parents came up for the day and spent almost all of it putting floor pieces together. They installed new subfloor in the entry and the bathroom (which required ripping out the old particle board subfloor, the leftover tile, and moving the toilet out...). There is now good sub-floor everywhere:


And then, they worked on installing more of the flooring on the main level - finishing up the kitchen and dining areas, and through two-thirds of the living room. It's starting to feel less like a project and more like a home, which we're really excited about. It makes the dining room look pretty cool:


It was a blessing to have Christopher's parents up for the day. We weren't really expecting to make any progress for a week or two yet, but they helped us get quite a bit done today. Chris even made it out of the apartment for a field trip, where he sat in a different location all day:


In other news, I painted some more trim and beadboard (surprise!). Progress is progress, though... and we're making some!
