As you can probably tell, we have not yet hung up much. We're trying to be a little more picky with what artwork we put up, and haven't really done much in that arena.
The living room was the first that we saw upon entering the house after closing - it was the room that made us think, "we really bought this mess" and ask, "what in tarnation did we get ourselves into?"
The room has a lot that is new: paint, floors, re-patched wall, curtains, curtain rod, vent covers, closet doors and closet frame. We originally had the room set up much differently, but settled on this re-arrangement yesterday (while our guests were out). It allows the room to be more conversational and less tv-oriented in feel. It is super-cozy, and we've been enjoying the space.
