We've been slowly (and, at times, hastily) working on finishing up the lower bath so that we and all of our guests are not crammed into our upstairs bath when we do, in fact, have guests (which is often).
I spent an afternoon scrubbing grout lines with those crazy scrub sponges that have some sort of abrasive backing on them. It was like doing squats and wall sits for 90 minutes, but well worth it (and, by worth it, I'm not talking about the pain my quads may or may not have been in for the days that followed). There's another piece that has yet to be installed for the shower door, but the showerhead(s) work, and so we're just a few steps away...
The other awesome part is that Chris painted one wall, the vanity got hooked up, and we hung a light fixture, towel bar (I just love the double bar, but whatever), and a mirror. What does this all mean?
When you are using the toilet, the bathroom looks almost normal. Minus the shower door leaning on the wall and the lack of baseboards... and all the drywall work that has yet to be finished.
But, seriously, almost normal!
In other news, we're getting a new roof (thank you, crazy hailstorm) and the trees are already beginning to change on our half alive/half dead tree out back:
It's crazy to think that it'll be six months Wednesday since we closed and started this crazy process!
