In light of incoming family, I spent the majority of my day cleaning our apartment so that it doesn't seem like we're complete slobs while this whole renovation thing is going on... After teaching this afternoon, I finally headed over to the house to find Chris, Stephen, and Randy (Christopher's dad) trying to figure out what to do next.
There was some painting and texturing and stuff that went on today, but the biggest things were demolition things. The guys ripped out the old backsplash in the kitchen and Chris took out the shower surround in the upstairs bathroom. In my few hours before we rushed to the pet store (Abby was out of food), Lowe's (before they "closed" at 9), and to eat dinner, I managed to reattach faceplates in the guest bedroom, touch up the ceiling and paint one wall of trim.
Unfortunately, I thought that we were going back to the house to work for a bit after dinner, and I left the camera there. So, no pictures tonight. Hopefully there will be some great ones tomorrow. I think the next few days will be good days, with what we hope will be a lot of progress. Oh man...
