This afternoon, I started painting ceilings in the bedrooms so that they're ready for ceiling fans to be installed tomorrow afternoon. The first thing I must tell you, however, is that I am a very messy painter. Additionally, I was really tired from cleaning yesterday, so I wasn't paying as close of attention as I could have. The result: By the time I finished the first room, I was covered in a great splatter of paint and was beginning to track paint onto the carpet (whoops!). It wasn't until I started painting the ceilings white that I realized the original ceilings were not white at all!
It was a long afternoon, and I'm finding out that painting ceilings is really hard. I barely got out of bed this morning, so I'm wondering how I'm going to do tomorrow morning... Just in time for a second coat on the ceilings and the beginning of priming the walls!
And, while I painted, Chris and Ben finished the demo work on the downstairs bathroom and most of the cleaning up of the downstairs bathroom so that we no longer have hazardous stuff in the house (it smells a lot better, to be honest). It will be a while before we address the downstairs bathroom because it now looks like this:
Awesome. We had dinner at 10 p.m., and it was delicious. Chris got a big cookie to go with our pizza. Tasty.
