Days Nineteen&Twenty: Odds and Ends

Sunday afternoon, John, Elise and I spent a few hours (like two) at the house doing a few odd jobs. John painted trim and a closet, I scraped the bad caulking job off of the upstairs bathtub (can it really be that hard to correctly caulk a bathtub?), and Elise painted the other side of the kitchen cabinets, which means we're almost able to put the kitchen together again!

And then the little brother came back! John had a rare day off and came up after dropping Elise off at work. He painted more trim (yay!), this time in the hallway and on the stairs. I yammered on about just about everything on the face of the planet (apparently I need a sock or something shoved in my mouth sometimes) and took perhaps my first rest day in a long, long time. After lunch, he hung up the curtain rod in the living room and cleaned the window both inside and out!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the living room and kitchen finished. All three bedrooms are now done (with the exception of hanging a curtain rod in the master bedroom), and the upstairs hallway is finished! We're a few kitchen steps and a functional bathroom away from being able to move in... We just have to get through a few more weeks of the crazy life first.
